Building a new system, facing some problems

the system would turn on, and load but it would either stop or restart then I can't turn it back on. I have to clear the cmos to turn it back on again. by not being able to turn on i mean the the motherboard is running all fans are running but no display.

my set up is

asus a8N E deluxe (used, bought it online)
amd 64 3200 + with big typhoon
7900 GT
OCZ 520W power stream
80 gb drive
dvd rw

i'm suspecting a faulty motherboard.....

but the seller was very reputable, so i dunno
