I used create a directory usually c:\winbkup and copy the entire cd to that directory and then run the installation from the HD. I did that because sometime when you install things in win98 it would ask for the cd, and no one ever knew where it was. But since the installation was from the HD it would never ask for the CD again. I'm sure he can explain better once he gets back if he decides to try like that.
