Hi, first of all I would just like to say hello,

Secondly I have a problem:- my pc crashes & reboots at irregular intervals some times after 5 mins sometimes after 5 days for no reason that I can find , the win scan nevers finds any errors.
I have heard that Zone Alarm can cause this as I have eliminated the more common faults ie cpu temps etc etc.
Iam running ZA Ver. 4.0.146.029
my specs are:-
winxp pro sp2
Amd 2500+ barton
1gb ram

welcome.

Yes it is possible as well as with any other software you may have installed. What we can do from here is.

1. Control panel / system / advanced/ startup and recovery / settings button / uncheck auto restart and click ok.

2.Take note of any blue screen error that appears when the next incident takes place.

3.Right click my computer / manage / event viewer. Double click the error and copy paste the lower window's data here in your reply.

It sounds like your database in ZA has gotten corrupt. Try resetting it.

Reset the database this way:

1. Shut down Zone Alarm by right clicking on the system tray icon and select 'shutdown'.
2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
3. Delete the backup.rdb and SHELLY.ldb files in the folder.
4. Start Zone Alarm again.

Well I reset my DBase in ZA but the same crash has just happened again.
