Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on. Busy working full-time and going to school full-time. Check this out, a couple of days ago I installed a router and wireless adapter so I can use my laptop freely. Now since I've done that, I can only connect to the internet on my desktop only after I disable my McAfee firewall. I've tried changing the settings and I still have to disable this firewall in order to get online on my desktop, the laptop works fine. Any ideas, suggestions??

Until Later,
C.A. :happywave:

I hope this will do for the access part on the desktop:
.Right-click the McAfee icon and point to Personal Firewall
.Select View Applications
.In the Permissions list, right-click the permission level for whichever applications you wish to grant access.
.Select Allow Full Access

Also since i'm not too familiar with mcafee firewall this may not be the case. Check for an option that will create a popup when a program tries to access the internet. By doing this yuou can set which programs need access..

Also do you have a cd for the firewall that you could reinstall from ?

I haven't been able to locate the file that need to access the internet for the router. The firewall was downloaded from the McAfee website so I don't have a cd. I was probably thinking of using another firewall and ditching the McAfee one if I can't figure this out. Any suggestions on a new firewall?

I'm a little late on this one, since I just joined, but I have been a McAfee User for many years. I will try and watch out for McAfee problems here. I know the products very well.
