Opera 8.51 for Desktop is now available
This is a maintenance, stability, and security release.
The release is a recommended security upgrade for Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris users. It updates Opera's wrapper script to not run commands
included with URLs passed from other applications as suggested in Secunia Advisory
16907.
The Macromedia Flash version shipped with Opera 8.51 for Windows is 7r61, which addresses the security issue reported in
Secunia Advisory
17437 in regards to vulnerabilities in Flash Player.
Mac OS X users with Japanese systems will experience improved stability on pages with Java.
