pop ups and firefox

Has anyone noticed this? Ever since I did the last two updates for firefox, I am getting popups. The pop ups are from firefox because the top bar identifies them as firefox. Just like when using IE, you go to a page and you get those pop ups. I never had that with firefox before and I do have block pop ups checked. Anyone like to comment on this?

Yes I have Melodi. Its really evolution I guess. It seems that more and more vlnerabilities are from Mozilla based software now that the general trend to use those programs has increased.

Makes one wonder what well be using in the following year..


PS.. Opera doesnt have popups.

Not yet anyway, but it's only a matter of time.

If one thinks about it, the only thing that keeps businesses in business is revenue. Maintaining a website requires revenue, if people don't pay fees or make donations, business must look for outside financial aid. Thru the theory of evolution and the sound adice of "there is no free lunch" all great browsers will fall victim to pop ups.

It's a sad day for me, cuz as I opened up this window to check responses to my post, I got two more pop ups. Really ugly ones. Geez I can't wait until they start spamming my cell phone.

I say we all abandon the net and go back to smoke signals and the telegraph. I had a 9 week elective course in the 6th grade in morse code, I think I can remember how to click SOS.

If you are getting popups while here on firefox then there is something to be paid attention to. Might want to clear all cookies and run an adaware scan..

Heee heee heeee my computer is so clean it squeaks. Oh wait that might be a bad cd drive. Nah just kidding, I've got nothing I run hjt twice a week and spybot and adaware once a week. Firefox has just bought into the system, they've lost their self respect. They become one with the establishment, they've been assimulated.

I'm leaving the internet, I'm brushing up on my smoke signals, sure it's slower and no one will want to talk to me, but that's exactly how the internet is at work, so I'll feel very comfortable.

Mobo, it's not your site spewing foul popups it firefox, it wasn't until I did today's update that i've gotten pop ups.
