Hello all,

I have been trying to update my sound driver, but I can't because I keep getting a Rundll32 message, it gives me the chose to close or ignore. I can't press ignore and when I press close it gives me the "this program has performed an illegal operation" message.

Help!

Dorian

No, I haven't. I'll give it a try and let you know if it works.

Thanks,

Rundll32

An error has occured in your program. To keep working anyways, click ignore and save your work to a new file. To quilt this program, click close, you will lose information that you entered since your last save.

That's what it says.

I go into the device manager, click on my sound driver and click update driver. Then it's supposed to go and search and get the update.

Thats only good if you have the driver on a cdrom or floppy in the drive. Otherwise you go to the sound card manufacturers site and download the latest driver.

Well, now I feel like a dufas :slap: I did try to do that the other day, and had a difficult time, but that could be because my baby doesn't give me much time to do anything right....LOL

I'll try that tomorrow Mobo. Thanks a bunch.
