Hello:
I don't know if it was lightening or just the powersource going bad, but after a storm one night my computer smelt like it had been on fire. Of couse it would not turn on. I took the power source out of my daughter's older computer it's not as big and the ratings don't seem to be the same, but electricity has never been my thing. Do I need a power source equal to what is in my computer? I hooked it all up and when I plugged it in, the motherboard lights came on, but it would not power up. So now I have my daughter's computer disassembled in the livingroom next to my disassembled computer lying in the livingroom. Anyone got any ideas?

Lets put some attention now at the video card to see if that may be gone bad.
