Hey Guys,

I'm having a tough time with this one.

I put together bunch of old parts I had laying around.
MSI KT3 Ultra/ AMD xp 2200 / 2 cdrw drives / 1 used HD with win xp pro already installed from other computer / radeon 9200 / NIC and modem.

This board has ata133 raid for IDE3 and 4 only.

If I connect board to IDE1 BIOS will detect it. However, when booting up it scans for IDE devices and says "No array defined" "press ctrl-f to enter fast build or esc to continue booting."

I don't want to set an array. Even if I did... i press ctrl-f it says no disk found.
I tried disabling RAID or just simply continuing boot and it doesn't boot.
If I connect HD to IDE3 or 4 I can set an array, after doing so, it still won't boot. I'll just get blank screen with blinking dash at top left.

I've reset the bios defaults many times, I have also tried changing the following.
Set HD to 32 bit transfer mode.
Verified Boot sequense
Tried Boot to OS/2 yes, and no.
Plug and play OS to yes and no
set Clear NVRAM to yes
MPS table version 1.4 and 1.1
Set video to AGP and fbs to 133( I know not related)
Tried Raid on and off.
Tried a stripe array(I think) for 1 HD

Am I not supposed to use HD from another PC with OS already installed?
Do I have to format HD and Install OS from scratch on this PC? (cuz I really don't want to lose all data on HD but i'm even less willing to put HD in another PC to back up data)

I tired searching the net with no luck, I guess I don't know how to explain the problem very well.

One other thing to try is to download this bootdisk file:
http://www.svrops.com/svrops/downloa...es/xpprobt.exe

Then insert a formatted floppy in the drive or format one yourself. Double click on the downloaded file to ready the floppy. Then set the boot rder from A ( floppy ) first and see if it boots with it.
