After buying a set of speakers from a website called
www.computer3g.com, I have had nothing but trouble. I found the site while searching at the site called :
http://www.pricewatch.com/, I found the Logitech Z-5500's were the cheapest there. The shipping was also supposedly free there to.
So my natural instinct was to check out the site. I checked out the site and everything seemed quiet well. After I bought the speakers for a reasonably cheaper price than other places I noticed this on my bill to them ( This was after I purchased the speakers). The speakers were $231.22 and the shipping was $46.78... After noticing that you kind of knew you were into trouble, but this was shown after all was shipped and done. The speakers ended up being around $281.00 or so for the whole set. The funny thing is that the speakers at other places like Newegg were around that price just for the speakers not including shipping....
We recieved the speakers in about 3-4 days with no complaints yet. It was until we hooked them up... We hooked up the speakers and noticed the left rear speaker was not working at all. So we called Computer3Gs number to ask them what the heck was the deal and no one answered. We then sent an email to the company talking about the return of the product and we had no reply to our email... We finally got hold of their support team over at Computer3G, and I must of talked to at least 3 people there. I finally got a manager telling me that Logitech was supposedly supposed to replace them and asked for the tech support guys who told me that it was Logitech's problem and not ours.... By this time I have called DELL to make sure there was nothing wrong with my sound card which was a Soundblaster Audigy ZS 5.1 surround sound and Logitechs tech support. I also have another computer that has 5.1 digital surround sound, but the speakers did not work on that system, in which we know works because we have other speakers on that system already...
After we did that we called Logitech twice, asking the technical support if there was any thing we did on our end and it defintly had to do with the speakers. Logitech told us to return the product... On the other hand though we never got email giving us a number to ship it back to computer3g. The reference number was never given to us at all, because it was supposedly Logitechs fault, so they were supposed to back it. I would think there is at least a 30 day warranty on the speakers from the stores side... Logitech tech support told us there was a warranty on the speakers...
After a lot of phone call we finally got a new pair of speakers through Logitech! My gosh, what a waste of time! I just wanted to warn you about Computer3G, their support on their products are awful. They did not back their products at all and realistically when you think about it the $40 shipping was false advertising if you say your product has free shipping... The speakers werealso supposed to be brand new! Hmmm.... I don't know if that is true....
Watch out for lower prices when buying things over the internet, just because something is cheaper does not mean it is better... I also would like to add one more thing... The site was not proffesional at, sending me an email to me about Loitechs technical support:
Sorry , concerning all Logitech products, please address all RMA and warranty issue directly with Logitech. This manufacturer has agreed to do all end user returns and hence all warranty issues are done directly with them.Logitech tec support cannot tell u to return this product to us, if they did and u have a case #, someone accross there will be looking for a new job.
Professional, I think not! The very last part is not professional at all!
