PC-Cillin 2005

I have been beta testing the new release of Trend's latest security package and so for can only say "AWESOME"

Its scanner is top notch, firewall works well with the ability to add built in url blocking like a hosts file. It also has settings for spyware, adware, dialers, joke programs, hack tools, remote access tools, passwaord crackers, wireless capability, remote control of similar products installed within a network, password prevention to keep all your settings intact, antispam, and one of its newest features is a security scan of your operating system to see where you stand with windows updates and if there are any vulnerabilities..

They seem to have taken it on to provide top notch programming so ill be promoting thios software when the final version is released..

PC-Cillin is made by Trend Micro? Anyway, I believe it does, their free internet scan is already good and can detect a lot of things on my computer. Compared to Nortons, Trend Micro's is great! Though I must say it is sad when a free online scanner gives more results, then when you pay for a $50 scanner.

I have two issues why I don't run norton..

1.Frequency of updates is not as good as its competitors.

2.Massive amount of registry entries and can be troublesome to remove, upgrade etc..

True... True... I also do A LOT of downloading on my computer and I have learned that Nortons does not like to agree with my products that I instal, and they are just normal programs. Nortons can be a pain in the butt at sometimes.

I gave up on it en though i have systemworks 2003 and 2004 . I have been using Nod32 and not one single complaint. They have top notch scanning, updating and support. They often will update daily.

Trial version http://www.nod32.com/download/trial.htm

You can see thier update releases here for yourself http://www.nod32.com/support/info.htm#CurVersion

Post 3 programs solved my internet security problems by using them simultaneously

Hi, People

Want to share with you the results of my work. I've discovered that these 3 programs solved my
security problems by using them simultaneously.

1. XoftSpy-SE (the biggest base of detected spyware programs) +
Web-site: http://xoftspyse.repairandsecure.com/

2. Netcom Internet Security (complete protection from viruses including firewall) +
Found it here: http://securityandprivacy.triedtool....spywarecleaner

3. SpyBot Search and Destroy (the only freeware anti-spyware program!)
Web-site: http://www.safer-networking.org/

These programs are from the the different manufacturers and they do have different threats definitions bases but in a complex they cover 99.8%! of all known threats. These numbers are taken from the direct comparison of the 18 popular antivirus programs so it can be trusted.

Keep your computers safe! Good luck

Regards,
Mark
