Winrar Invisble

Hi im kinda new to this but here goes:

ok ive been using winrar for awhile now and had no problems what so ever, until recently.i dled a rar and went and extracted it but for some reason when it extracts it and puts a folder where the file should be its not, but it is there because while its extracting it if i open the file it shows its there but when it finishes is disappears, also after it disappears i went to properties and looked and saw that it was still there because the file size shows its still in the folder, so im not sure what to do, at first i blew it off but it happened again, i tried winrar and izarc and tried all sorts of things i thought might get it to work but nothing has so far pls help and ty.
