Hello:
Yes I am an MCP, but I know nothing about burning CDs and what software to use to do that. My computer recently met it's demise during a lightening storm and I bought a very second hand one for $85. It has a CD burner in it, but no software. Will any software work or do I need something special? I downloaded some free software from majorgeeks, will this work? Thanks

PS it's not for illegal downloading of music, I just want to copy some CDs

The free version may work well indeed but please do try the nero trial version http://ww2.nero.com/enu/neroue-prog.php.

Sure thing, and ask if anything arises.

Good luck..

My job is preventing me from doing anything remotely fun, so it may be a few days 'fore I get to it. Also....the video card in my second hand computer went bad, so I'm looking for one. Hard to see the screen when it's in VGA mode

You know, this is so funny cuz I did tear my sock (and unders) drawer apart looking for a specific video card that I KNOW i have and I couldn't find it. I ended up at Milwaukee PC buying a used one for $5 and couldn't get at the puter to put it in, my daughter didn't want me near. Ever since I harvested parts from her other one and rendered it useless, she's relecutant to allow me near this one. She doesn't mind that the icons are huge.

I'm gonna post another post on free software that i am in need of

Hello 700:

Yeah, I went the new driver route but it didn't help, but I did get the new card installed and that worked. Now I need to find a sound card for it. When my daughter is at work I sneak in her room and do nasty things to her computer
All of which can be discussed in mixed company

Thanks for the link!!
