There's a wag in the works at Microsoft: The company is christening the next version of its flagship operating system "Vista"--which is ostensibly punning on the Windows brand name. So cue the mass production of freebies such as promotional t-shirts and coffee mugs: Microsoft has dropped the "Longhorn" nom de guerre that was used as a codename during the software's production. As well as being a slick, bite-size chunk of Esperanto, the new brand name is also meaningful--it apparently emphasizes selling points of the software, such as improvements in the way users can view information stored on a PC.

Thanks for the information 700MB. Do you know when it is going to be shipped out? I heard it was going to be in 2006... Vista... Vista... Vista... I am just wondering what type of security it has on board that Operating System. My gosh, I wonder if it is too much... I mean invading the privacy of the users, goes a little bit over board. Does anyone know if it is true that Microsoft is being watched by a company or two to make sure it is not invading the privacy of the user too....???

Anyway, it sounds great, but if it starts taking the privacy of myself or the people, that is it. I have to bring back my Linux System and I will add the following wallpaper to my system!

I think a few people have gotten onto their case about privacy, but I can't tell you to much about it... There was a big article about it though a while back.
