I am trying to remove AVG antivirus from my daughters computer. When I go into Add or Remove programs and try to remove it ,, I get a message that reads as follows ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate application.

There doesnt seem to be an uninstall either. Any suggestions???

Actually its not AVG thats the issue.

Set the system to show hidden files and folders as per:
[Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]

Then right click start | explore | c | windows | repair
Then right click on autoexec.nt and select copy

Now in the explorer window click c | windows | system32
Once inside the system32 folder click edit then paste. Accept any prompt to overwrite any file..

Then reboot and retry.
