About a program called Record Now

I have a question concerning a software program called Record Now ,, and burning CD's. A friend tried to burn a cd that she did not realize was copyright protected until the pop up appeared saying so. So ,, she took it out. Now when she tries to burn cd's ,.. it will not recognize that she has put a blank cd in. Do you have any idea why this would be?

Has she ever tried just ripping it with Windows Media Player? I typically never have a problem ripping CDs at all with it. Is this problem only occuring with "RecordNow" or is it a problem with any application that burns CDs? Who made the CD burner ?

Well if it is the same as mine, it is made by Veritas Software Corp. ,,, but as far as answering your other questions .. I honestly dont know - so, if you don't mind, I think I will put this question on hold until my friend gets back to my house. Then I will get her to register on here - then she will be able to answer these questions for herself Hope that is ok with you all (((hugs)))~der~

Thats fine der. And one thing to keep in mind is that sonic comes on cd with burners most times so they may have the cd with it on it and that may be good to uninstall/reinstall the application.

oh gosh Mobo ,,, I think you lost me on that one ummmm ,,, when you start her Record Now ,, it says Sonic up in the corner of it. As far as uninstall and re-installing it ...the way I see it ,, If I uninstall it, it disappears and then I cant reinstall it because it will no longer be there I know that sounds dumb, but I dont know how else to put it

First check to see if the owner has the sonic recordnow cd so it can be reinstalled. If so then just uninstall it from add/remove programs and use the cdrom to reinstall it.

oh my ,, a duh der moment!! Sorry about that - now I know what You mean. Unfortunately, when she purchased her computer, she let them install all this stuff on it, yet did not get or request the cd's to go with it.
