well, kav never ran. it wouldnt update. It just kept freezing.

i will be running a mcafee scan. perhaps mcafee might be able to catch it?

also, i have one more question. do u have any idea what could have caused my comp to become infected with this virus?

Before you did that did you disable mcafee like I suggested.

yes, exited the program, and removed it from the startup list.

but i disabled it from normal startup and not safe mode. could that have made a difference?
