Hijack Check Up And

Last night, my daughter tried to download a program so that she could download pictures from the web to her computer and it froze my puter for awhile. So I ran adware, spybot, then my BitDefender as well. I am posting the log from my BitDefender as well as a HiJack log. The reason for posting the BitDefender log is I have a question about it. What does the l/O errors mean, when the scan is complete?? It had the number 2010 after it. As always, I am appreciating your help. ~der~

Hi der..

Lets begin by first having you do the following:
Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.


Empty the Recycle Bin

Then there are left some quarantined files in the bitdefender vault that can be deleted.

The rest looks fine..and those i/o entries are part of the Bit defender scan..

ok ,, now der has to ask a dumb question ,, when I follow the first set of instructions ,, let me make sure I am right before I do it. I go to My Computer - click on C: - then on the Windows file - then on the Temp folder and delete the contents of that??? The rest I understand

Ok .. I did all that. Everything is gone but for two files in the Windows temp file ,, one named tmp000066d5 and one named ZLTo66ce..TMP. It says they are being used by another person or program. Not sure what that means, as I have nothing else going except this communication with you
