Hey der,

Try this stuff to see if any of it helps...

Go to Start ----> All Programs -----> Accesories -----> System Tools -----> System Information
After going there, click on Components ----> Network -----> WinSock
I doubt there is any problems here, but you can check anyway. List the files you see there... For example list like this :
C:\windows\system32\winsock.dll
(Just making sure nothing is caught up in there)

Also try to go to My Computer -----> Cor whereverDefault Location where WINDOWS is at)

When you are in C: go to WINDOWS -----> System32 ----> Drivers ------> etc .... When you are in that folder right-click the hosts file and press "Open with"... After doing that choose open with Notepad and make sure no sites or anything are blocked that you may not be able to access right now.

I would also try going to do a system restore if you have that enabled. Then, set it back to a day when you weren't having problems with your internet. DO THIS ONLY AS A LAST RESORT. Please try to do the following first...

You may view your winsocks by downloading and using this application from sysinternals :

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html

Just go to view Winsock provides and wait until it loads... After waiting, press ESC on your keyboard after it pretty much stops scanning. Then go to File--->Save As and save it to a file... Post it in here...
