My browser will not x out I can work within but not leave without using "task manger"' I have run virus scan and quratine something called Kleven(there were 2).
I added agv and browser worked good for about 2 hrs than same problem.
I added highjack as someone told me to, but find it a scary program for me and I became lost in it Really I've not used it.
I have installed Firefox and it works good though slow.
I wanted to fix I E as am afraid it's causing harm. If I try to do something to fix it comes up "have to close".
I am sorry as I know this sounds very confusing but best way I can explain it.
I am at lost and truly don't want to damage to computer.

Hey lucyshines49,
Welcome to the forums! First lets run an online virus scan from Trend Micro. You can find a link to the site here. Just click that you accept the licensce and then press the button to run TrendMicros virus scan. Then you can just click the button saying "Starting Housecall" under the Using JAVA based HouseCall kernel.

After running the free online virus scanner, tell us if it finds anything new. You may also want to try running either Ad-Aware SE or Spybot Search and Destroy. You can find out more ifnormation about these products here : http://www.cyberanswers.org/forum/sp...struction.html
You can just follow the guides to set it up.

Then, report back if you find anything new with those scanners also.

Finally, run HiJack this on your computer by downloading and installing it from here.
You can follow this
1. Click the button that says " Do a System Scan and Save the log file"
2. Notepad will appear after it is finished with a bunch of information
3. Copy and and paste that information into your post so someone with better skills than me can anaylze it.

You can post all of this information all in one post, if you would like.

Rat

I do not have enough knowledge to be messing with program removles etc.
I have done virus scans but still have the same problem can't x out of IE.

Ignore all the information there and copy and paste that information into a post on the forums. One of us will be able to read it.

Okay to copy and paste the info into your browser do the following :

1) Run Hijack this and follow the instructions I gave you above.
2) When notepad appears, click the window
3) Then press CTRL+a.... They are located on your keyboard. This commands selects the whole document.*
4) Then press CTRL+c..... This will copy the information. *
5) After logging into the forums press CTRL+v on the keyboard to paste the information to the forums. *

The post will be long, just like this one : Click me for example

Then post it on the forums.

*Push the two keys at the same time. Do not press the + key, that is just to show you to hit both keys.
