pipas.a

hello....

when i last ran search and destroy, pipas.a appeared. I let s&d fix it, but after restarting my pc, it just comes back again. I really don´t know how to ged rid of this one...

It slows my computer, while surfing it redirects me to pages i dont want to go and makes my firefox in general cause illegal operations and crash eventually...

i did a scan with hijack this

Then click "fix checked"

Reboot and proceed to here by means of internet explorer and run a full system scan.

Then afterwards again reboot and upon restart run another spybot scan and post back with its findings please..

I have to step out for a bit but will check back in shortly.

Good luck.

Download and scan with CCleaner
1. Starting with v1.27.260, CCleaner installs the Yahoo Toolbar as an option which IS checkmarked by default during the installation. IF you do NOT want it, REMOVE the checkmark when provided with the option OR download the toolbar-free Basic or Slim versions instead of the Standard Build.
2. Before first use, select Options > Advanced and UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"
3. Then select the items you wish to clean up.
In the Windows Tab:
• Clean all entries in the "Internet Explorer" section except Cookies.
• Clean all the entries in the "Windows Explorer" section.
• Clean all entries in the "System" section.
• Clean all entries in the "Advanced" section.
• Clean any others that you choose.

In the Applications Tab:
• Clean all except cookies in the Firefox/Mozilla section if you use it.
• Clean all in the Opera section if you use it.
• Clean Sun Java in the Internet Section.
• Clean any others that you choose.

4. Click the "Run Cleaner" button.
5. A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.
6. Click "OK" and it will scan and clean your system.
7. Click "exit" when done.

It will keep coming back because of the ad on the top of this page. Its not collecting information. Its not a security breach or anything.

Post What threads to read first?

Hi there, I joined here just this week.

Soz for being lazy, but I wanted to ask if anyone could point me to any especially good posts that I should take a look at first, so I can get involved here?

Thank you, Michael
