Its bad but can be fixed.I have the feeling that this is an illegal copy of XP due to the absence of service packs and the amount of malware. to check if it is legal just run this and post the result here.

The absence of service packs is lack of education on the user's part. currently I have it updated to Service Pack two and it's at work right now running spybot. When I get back to work tomorrow I will log into that site. Thanks so much

I had to get it back to it's owner. I downloaded superantispyware and it caught 258 trojans, then I did hijack the best I could. I added service pack for real this time, then did 83 updates and then daylight savings time patch. I don't have the pc any more, but here is the final log I took from it. Thanks

It would have been better to put in Service Pack 2 after its is cleaned as it can lock in some of the malware making it hard to get out...anyway,lets see how we get on..



Please download Combofix from HERE or HERE

Save ComboFix to the desktop.
1. Double click on combo.exe & follow the prompts.
2. When finished, it will produce a logfile located at C:\ComboFix.txt.
3. Copy and Paste the contents of that log in your next reply with a new hijackthis log. Do not use Code or html unless asked for.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause your system to stall/hang.
