Windowss defender 800106ba error on Vista

After seeing this being so common a problem I did some poking around on some of the computers that came into my shop and one thing in common I found to correct the issue is

Hidden Block (you must be registered and have 1 posts):

You do not have sufficient rights to see the hidden data contained here.

Now try Defender and it should work just fine.

So how is the service being disabled in the first place or what is it set to?

I assume its a method to enhance system performance by shutting what are unnecessary services.

Reset the router first.
