Hello:
I think I've seen this somewhere before but I can't remember. A pc using WinXP with two users. User #1 has a perfectly fine desktop. User #2 has a black square that looks like a piece missing from a puzzle. Changing the background does not help. If you right click on it and click properties it gives you display properites. If you double click on it nothing happens. If you hover the mouse over it mov file appears. Add and remove programs doesn't have anything out of the ordinary in it. Thanks

Have you tryed rebuilding the icons with TweakUI? It is located here : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx . . .
So when you click on the icons, can you go anywhere? I believe you said something about your icons lead you to nowhere also... Could you post a screenshot or give a little bit more detail... Rat |
