Its setup for internet connection sharing some how. It may just need to create a new connection.

No. If you have a router, moden and the cat 5 cables thats all you need. It is connected as is now but it isnt getting online. I had the exact scenario four days ago with a client here close to home. It was resolved after creating a new connection similar to what I had you create already here

Except this time try this one:
Open the networking icon in the control panel.
Click "create a new connection"
Connect to the internet
next
choose from a list of internet service providers
next
then follow any promts after that..

If that doesnt work then call the isp tech support, its real close.

Well you will be glad to hear I managed to connect both compīs with a LAN network but my ISP will only let me connect from either one but not both together, Now my next step is to configure my WLAN, it has a USB Dongle so Iam going to be busy again in the new year lol.

Anyway thanks for all your suggestions and I wish you Mobo and your team a very Happy New Year.
