Help!
Hey,
Things just got deeper at my friends house. The Local Settings File is reappearing and disappearing. Also his computer only will stay on for about five to ten minutes. Is this due to a virus? Anyone know what I should do? Run a virus scan may take too long and getting on the Internet is almost impossible to get on.

First thing I would do is have a look at the systems running processes...

Start / run / msinfo32/ software/ running tasks/ action/save as text file then get that here by transferring it from a floppy disk if possible.
