No and yes.
And how come you asked about the password in the router? How would this effect my internet to not work. Since all im using is a modem when i try to get the internet to work on this pc. (i unplug the router from other pc/i dont put on this pc)

Because if there is any encryption like wap or wep then a 10 digit password would be nessecary to get a connection.
