It will copy the system files to your C:\ drive and you will be back to the A:\> prompt, at which time you must shut the computer down and
put in your CD-Rom drive. Make sure your Windows CD is in the CD-Rom drive. Next, boot up your computer. It will boot up to the C: drive.

At the C:\> prompt type
98CCabs

Your files will be copied from the CD. When they are finished
being copied, you MUST shut down the computer and reinsert the
floppy drive with the bootup floppy in the drive. Boot to the
floppy again.

At the A:\> prompt type in the following
98CSetup and press Enter on your keyboard.

Well I am glad to report that the sleddin' went wonderfully, I'm frozen, will probably need a chiropractor tomorrow, but geez that was fun. And, my son and his friends were panting as much as me on the way up the hill. Oh wait, this isn't the weather report thread....

Not any closer are you? Mobo there has to be something that's preventing this. I sent you a link, was there anything in there? It has to be related to Dell maybe?

I feel so bad Doc, I was sure that if you Fdisked, reformatted that it would load Windows 98. Mobo, what about WinXP think it would load?

Melodi,
If you are going to take the heat for the FDisk, How about taking the heat for me monkeying around in SFC.
Remember, FDisk doesn't kill computers, PEOPLE kill computers.
While we're waiting, whatdayasay we run the flash bios idea past Mobo again. Maybe that will shock the migraine loose.
Time to light a fire. It's already down to 65 degrees. May even drop to 60
